Athletic Performance Training in Seattle
Train for the sport, not for the gym.

Sports Performance Coaching in Seattle Built for Competitive Athletes
Athletic performance training at Eastlake Performance goes beyond standard gym programming. Every program is built around the specific physical demands of your sport, the energy systems required to perform at your highest level, and the movement patterns that drive performance in your position. Whether you play basketball, soccer, lacrosse, swimming, baseball, football, or any other competitive sport, Eastlake Performance coaches design programs that translate directly to the field, court, or pool.
Seattle athletes from across the region choose Eastlake Performance for performance coaching because the trainers understand sport science. Strength training for athletes is not the same as strength training for general fitness, and the programming at Eastlake Performance reflects that distinction in every session.
Speed, Power, and Strength Training for Seattle Athletes
Eastlake Performance’s athletic performance programs focus on four core pillars: speed development, power output, strength building, and injury prevention.
-
01
Speed
Speed training includes acceleration mechanics, sprint drills, and first-step quickness work.
-
02
Power
Power development integrates plyometrics, Olympic lifting variations, and explosive training protocols.
-
03
Strength
Strength programming follows periodized loading cycles that build a foundation and then transition to sport specific expression of that strength.
-
04
Durability
Injury prevention built into the program rather than bolted on — the work that keeps you available for selection.
Programming follows the season
Athletes train through off-season, pre-season and in-season phases. Programs are structured to fit the demands of a competitive schedule, not disrupt them.
- Off-seasonBuild the foundation
- Pre-seasonConvert to sport-specific output
- In-seasonMaintain, manage load, stay available
Athletes from Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, Bothell, and Mercer Island train at Eastlake Performance during off-season, pre-season, and in-season phases. Coaches structure programs to fit the demands of a competitive schedule, not disrupt them.
Assessment
Performance Testing and 3D Body Composition Tracking
Every athletic performance client at Eastlake Performance completes an initial performance assessment covering movement quality, strength benchmarks, speed and body composition. This baseline establishes a clear starting point and allows coaches to measure every aspect of physical progress throughout the training program.
- OVR
- Vertical jump height and velocity based strength metrics. Bar speed tells you whether a lift is building power or just moving weight, and it is what sets the load from session to session.
- Laser timing gates
- Sprint splits and change of direction times, measured to the hundredth rather than estimated from a stopwatch. The difference matters when you are chasing a tenth.
- ShapeScale
- A 3D body scanner for body fat percentage, lean mass and circumference — so a bodyweight change can be read as muscle gained or fat lost rather than guessed at.
Periodic retesting at four week or eight-week intervals tracks improvements in strength, speed, and body composition. Measurable progress is the standard at Eastlake Performance, not just a promise. Seattle athletes who are ready to take their training to the next level can email the studio to schedule a performance assessment.
