Frequently Asked Questions About Personal Training in Seattle

How do I get started with personal training at Eastlake Performance?

Getting started is simple. Email info@eastlakeperformance.com to schedule a consultation with an Eastlake Performance coach. During the consultation, you will discuss your goals, training history, and schedule. The coach will recommend the best training format for your situation and explain how the program will be structured. No obligation and no pressure. The intro call is free; your first session is a 60-minute assessment for $75, including the 3D body scan and movement screen.

What is the difference between 1 on 1, semi private, and partner training?

1 on 1 personal training is a fully private session between you and a trainer. Semi private training is a small group of two to four clients, each with an individualized program, sharing one trainer. Partner training is a session for two clients who train together with individualized programs. All three formats deliver expert coaching. The main differences are cost per session and the social dynamic during training.

How much does personal training cost at Eastlake Performance in Seattle?

1 on 1 personal training at Eastlake Performance costs $80 to $150 per session depending on session length and package size. Semi private training costs $45 to $75 per person per session. Partner training costs are split between two clients. Package pricing is available and reduces the per-session rate. Training is sold as monthly memberships that cancel anytime; the full rate card is on the personal training page.

What should I bring to my first personal training session in Seattle?

Bring athletic clothing you can move freely in, supportive training shoes, a water bottle, and any relevant medical history or physical therapy discharge notes if applicable. If you have had previous injuries, let your trainer know before your first session. Eastlake Performance takes a thorough approach to understanding your history before building your program.

How often should I train each week to see results?

Most Eastlake Performance clients train two to four times per week depending on their goals and schedule. For fat loss and body composition change, three sessions per week is a strong starting point. For athletic performance, four or more sessions may be appropriate. Your coach will recommend a training frequency that balances results with recovery.

Training and sessions

What is the difference between 1-on-1, semi-private and partner training?

The difference is how many clients share one trainer. 1-on-1 is a private session where the full hour is yours. Partner training is two clients sharing one trainer, each on their own program. Semi-private is up to four clients with one trainer, again each on an individual program — it is not a group class with a shared workout. All three run for 60 minutes.

Compare the three formats in detail.

How long are personal training sessions?

Standard sessions are 60 minutes. Longer 90-minute and two-hour sessions are occasionally available for experienced athletes with specific performance goals.

Does Eastlake Performance train beginners, or only athletes?

Both. Programs are built individually, so the studio trains complete beginners and working professionals alongside competitive and student athletes. Every client starts from the same assessment process and receives a program written for their current ability and goals.

What services does Eastlake Performance offer?

Private 1-on-1 personal training, partner training for two people sharing a trainer, and semi-private small group training capped at four clients. Programming specialties include athletic and sports performance, strength training, weight loss and body composition, and injury rehabilitation and corrective exercise.

What is 3D body scanning and how is it used?

A 3D body scan captures body composition and circumference measurements to establish an objective baseline at your first consultation. Rescanning over time shows changes in lean mass and body fat that a bathroom scale alone would miss, so progress is tracked by measurement rather than by weight.

What should I bring to my first session?

Logistics and facility

Can I use the gym outside of personal training sessions?

No. Eastlake Performance is a dedicated private training studio and does not offer open gym access or drop-in memberships. The studio limits how many people train at once, which is why sessions are never crowded.

Is there parking?

Yes. Free garage parking is available under the building at no charge to clients, which is unusual for the Eastlake and South Lake Union area. A door code and parking instructions are sent to you before your first session.

What are your hours?

Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Saturday, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Closed Sunday. All sessions are by appointment.

What areas of Seattle do you serve?

Clients come from across Seattle. The studio sits in Eastlake and is most convenient to South Lake Union, Capitol Hill, Fremont, Wallingford, the University District and Queen Anne, with free on-site garage parking for anyone driving in from further out.
